Your family's visas in the UAE
- Your family's residence permits are linked to yours: if your visa is cancelled, your family's visas must be cancelled too.
- To sponsor your family you need a valid UAE residence permit and the income and housing ICP asks for.
- Besides cancelling first, ICP offers two routes: family permits can be put on hold for a limited period, or kept with a guarantee.

The rule that links them
A family visa depends on the sponsor's visa. If your job ends or your visa is cancelled, your family's dates are affected too.
Outside Dubai, ICP handles family residence. In Dubai, GDRFA Dubai does.
