How do I check my Emirates ID and visa status and fines in the UAE?
Check your visa's issue and expiry dates on the ICP website. In Dubai, use the GDRFA Dubai website. Check an Emirates ID application on the ICP ID Card Status page.

If this is you
You want to read your expiry date, follow an application, or find out whether you owe a fine.
If you miss it
An expired visa adds fines for each day after the grace period. Check the date before it passes.
Official page: ICP ID Card Status page. In Dubai, use the GDRFA Dubai services at gdrfad.gov.ae.
What to do now
- Pick your office: ICP for every emirate except Dubai, GDRFA Dubai for Dubai.
- Have your Emirates ID number, or the application number or reference from your application, ready.
- Read the expiry date and write it down. It is your date for renewal.
- If a fine shows, pay it on the portal for your emirate before the grace period ends.
- If a status is unclear, call the number for your office.
Your visa: expiry date and application

Dubai services

Fines
Fines are handled by emirate. Outside Dubai, ICP has a pay-fine service, linked below. In Dubai, the GDRFA service below accepts an Emirates ID number.
- Outside Dubai: pay a visa or residence fine through the ICP Smart Services pay-fine service.
- In Dubai, the GDRFA Fines Inquiry Service checks fines on your own file or on files you sponsor.
- To search it: pick a search type, a file type and a place of issue, then enter your date of birth.
- The Emirates ID late-renewal fine is separate: AED 20 a day, up to AED 1,000.
What each answer means
The results show only after you enter your own number. The ICP and GDRFA service pages do not explain each status word. Ask ICP or GDRFA before you act on a status you do not understand.
